About The Programme
Master of computer application (MCA) is a PG degree program offered for a minimum duration of two years. The program contains four semesters and stands to prepare students for productive careers in the software industry. The program offers comprehensive knowledge related to computer applications and programming languages. An MCA program guides towards a perfect opportunity for the learning tools that are used in modern computer applications.
Those who want to get admission to the MCA course in India are chosen based on both the entrance exam and merit list (marks obtained at graduation). However, in India, top colleges take the entrance exam. Students pursuing PG degrees in Computer Applications make their careers as Software developers, Data Scientists, Hardware engineers, Technical writers, and many more. And the average salary for an MCA course is between 3- 8 LPA.
For admission into Master Degree in Computer Application (MCA 2yrs)
Passed or appearing the Bachelor’s Degree examination of minimum three years duration in any discipline from any University of Odisha or from a recognized University as defined by UGC and must have passed in Mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduate Level. Business Mathematics at +2 level is not permitted.
The candidate should have obtained at least 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the qualifying Examination.
If the candidate has passed BCA with mathematics as a subject, he/she may appear the entrance test without Mathematics at 10+2 level.
There is no upper age limit for admission to MCA course.
